About Me
I started my career in a very large public accounting firm, within that firm I specialized in high net worth individuals. During my time there I learned that having an accountant on your team can save you a TON of money! I also learned that taxes are not something that happen TO YOU, there are so many ways to use the tax code (legally!) to your advantage. No business (or individual) is too small to benefit from tax planning.
My passion for serving the “little guys” comes from personal experience. Both of my parents had their own business while I was growing up. I saw the behind the scenes effort it takes to keep things running efficiently. I can relate to the pressure of year end deadlines interfering with your family time at Christmas, or quarterly payroll reports cramping spring break plans! My goal is to alleviate those stressors so you can enjoy your vacations and your family time.
I know the struggles and rewards of being self-employed and I want to give you the advice and guidance that I wish someone would have given my own parents 30+ years ago. I love catering to small businesses and independent contractors from all over the country who are often overlooked by public accounting firms.
Other Services
I also provide personal financial coaching. This is a service that has developed at the request of my clients. After getting their businesses running smoothly, they wanted the same thing for their personal lives. However, it wasn’t the first time I’d done financial coaching, it’s been a passion of mine for over 10 years. I’ve been involved with a number of organizations that teach financial literacy and it is one of the most rewarding things I’ve done. I am NOT a licensed financial planner, attorney or CPA, but I have helped a lot of people get on the right path financially and do have a network of professionals that can help if needed.
